A trek to Mardi Himal takes you into one of the most untouched areas of the Himalayas. There are a sprinkling of villages along the way as you spend the majority of the journey on a pristine wilderness off the beaten track. The absolute highlight culminates upon reaching the summit with spectacular close up views of Machhapuchare - the 'Fishtail Mountain'.
The climb routes over boulders, scree and snow, all of which present little difficulty. The summit can be attained in a few hours from the top camp, and the views (when it is clear) are magnificent. The location of Mardi Himal just outside of the Annapurna Sanctuary means you will not be disappointed as the giants of Dhaulagiri and Manaslu lie at opposite points of the compass.
