Tharpu Chuli

Standing proud as punch slap bang in the centre of the Annapurna Sanctuary - Tharpu Chuli (5,663m) or 'Tent Peak' as it is often referred too - is an exceptional trekking peak located in the Annapurna region of the Himalayas.

The setting for this mountain is almost unrivalled, surrounded by the most magnificent mountain scenery you can imagine. Romantically referred to as the Annapurna Sanctuary, each point of the compass offers something breathtaking to look at - Annapurna (8,091m) stands at the head and to the east the unclimbed of spectacular Macchapuchre or 'Fish Tail' (6,993m).

Technically easy, not as taxing on the body as some of the other trekking peaks and the wonderful variety of climbing makes it an absolute contender for those wanting to bag a first Himalayan peak.
